Cruella Soundtrack Pays Homage to 60’s & 70’s

With Cruella currently receiving high praise during its box office run, the films accompanying soundtrack is also getting a lot of recognition and rightfully so. Paying homage to the 60’s and 70’s, this compilation is a time capsule of rebellion with an asserted confidence that perfectly ties into the villain origin plot-line.

With songs like ‘Bloody Well Right’ by Supertramp, ‘Whisper, Whisper’ by Bee Gees, ‘Feeling Good’ by Nina Simone, ‘Whole Lotta Love’ by Ike & Tina Turner and ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’ by The Clash, you’re immediately aware of the rebellion and atmosphere they’re wanting to capture. But some of the immediate standouts on the soundtrack are obviously ‘Livin Thing’ by Queen, ‘One Way Or Another’ by Blondie and ‘Come Together’ by Ike & Tina Turner which are classics in their own right.

Featuring one original track which plays during the credits, ‘Call Me Cruella’ is a moody and cinematic track written and performed by Florence + The Machine. However it doesn't necessarily sound or feel like a new track with a old soul embedded into the track and highlighted by Florence’s haunting vocals.
