Heritage

Heritage is the new album by the Stephen McCraven Quintet. Built around the interplay of two saxophones, double bass, drums and percussion, the album has a distinctive, rhythm-driven sound, leaving ample space for improvisation and dialogue between five musicians with remarkably rich musical backgrounds. True to its name, the album is also about transmission: bringing together decades of jazz experience while remaining firmly rooted in a living, evolving music.
