Diversity and Inclusion in the Virtual Organisation

Diversity and Inclusion in the Virtual Organisation examines a range of core issues for global organisations of all kinds that are adapting to virtual working practices, from the perspectives of respected thought leaders around the world. The concepts of “Inclusion” and “Diversity” often mean very different things in different contexts and countries, and this is compounded by the recent shift to virtual and remote working around the world. There is also a lack of understanding about how inclusion and diversity are perceived and managed in those different contexts, and a lack of guidance on how to negotiate the challenges presented by global and virtual working.

This timely and topical text provides new practical and strategic insights for students, practitioners, managers and policy makers; it delves on the strategic nature of policy intervention with thought-provoking contributions written by experts from around the world. The contributors provide critical reflection of current debate areas on inclusion and diversity in under-researched contexts and countries in order to inform and support evidence-based decision making for a wide variety of academic and practice-oriented stakeholders.
