Practical Applications of Quantum Technologies

Practical Applications of Quantum Technologies aims to bridge the gap between pure quantum physics and practical real-world quantum technologies by introducing accessible language and background information for non-physicists and the general public. The description of some quantum world’s secrecies is made on a scientific basis, rather than through magazine-style populism. By referring to existing state-of-the-art technologies on a global scale, the book comprehensively investigates the gap between quantum physical and practical domains.

Instead of repeating the classical quantum topics, that have been covered in popular magazines or scientific books for decades, one important, utilized methodology is to promote content that is original, productive, and subjective, content that serves as the book’s “interface domain” target between quantum physics and quantum technologies. Hence, the book inevitably initiates a non-traditional, practical “interface” approach, which is opposite to the present-day, well-known quantum concepts.

Key Features:

· Provides a comprehensive description of the grey area between the quantum physics and its “state-of-the-art” practical applications.

· Covers globally available practical quantum application areas.

· Describes the operation of a “quantum computer” at a very basic level using clear, accessible language.

· Presents speculative quantum ideas as potential technologies for the future.

The book targets a wide range of communities and professionals including academics, physicists, non-physicists, students, scientists, technology developers, university lecturers, and government policymakers.
