Built On Purpose

What Are You Building—and Will It Last?

Purpose is not a mission statement. It is not a brand. And it is not something you find—it is something you build deliberately for the benefit of others.

In Built on Purpose, Ken Polk—founder of one of the nation’s leading family wealth management firms—draws on more than two decades of guiding families and organizations to offer a deeply human exploration of what it means to build something that truly endures. Through the 3 Laws of Purpose and the six stages of purposeful enterprise, Polk challenges founders, business leaders, and family stewards to stop building for themselves and start building for a time beyond their own.

Readers will discover how to:

• Anchor their business or family legacy in timeless, universal principles
• Navigate the six stages of building a purpose-driven enterprise—from Survivability to Sustainability
• Define a worldview that guides every decision, in business and in life
• Align wealth and success with meaning that outlasts them

Built on Purpose is for anyone who suspects that success and significance are not the same thing and is prepared to close the distance between the two.
