Reimagining Aeschylus's Greek tragedy Oresteia in post Civil War New England, Eugene O'Neill exposes the dark inheritance of guilt, desire, and vengeance in the proud Mannon family. In this towering trilogy spanning three full plays-Homecoming, The Hunted, and The Haunted-the Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winning dramatist transforms Agamemnon, Clytemnestra, and Electra into characters for the modern American theater.
