Daylight Savings Time

Barbara Schott peels back the layers of language to reveal the impact of time and seasonal changes. She also peels back the ideology of relations, the intimacy of self, to find both great longing and loss. The poet identifies how the heart longs for words, shapes itself with words. This collection of new poems offers the reader the rare opportunity to stand still and be enveloped in the greatness of language and verse. AUTHOR: Barbara Schott lives in Winnipeg where she was born and raised. She was nominated for the 1997 John Hirsch Award for Most Promising Manitoba Writer, and won second place in the Prairie Fire Poetry Contest that same year.
