Dedication

Dedication by Laurence Fearnley is a major new novel from one of NZ's literary greats.

'A wonderful read! A finely observed study of women remaining faithful to their own ways of seeing.' - Catherine Chidgey
In 1990s Christchurch, struggling artist Caro is drawn into a film project about her nineteenth-century counterpart, the painter Morag Dart.
As Caro recreates Morag's delicate watercolours for the screen, Dedication moves between the experiences of these two artists, living a century apart. Both are trying to make their mark while negotiating family, money, artistic legitimacy; both must decide what they are prepared to sacrifice for their work.
From the best-selling author of At the Grand Glacier Hotel, Dedication is Laurence Fearnley at her rich, sensory best.
