The Years Are Short

A brand new guided journal from the bestselling author of Beautiful Chaos and They Bloom Because of You, Jessica Urlichs.

The Years Are Short is a beautifully imperfect creative guide to capturing motherhood as it happens: the blazing love, the overwhelm, the tiny moments your sleep-deprived mind can't hold on to and the days that slip through your fingers like sand.

With Sunday Times bestselling poet Jess Urlichs by your side, each chapter opens with an original poem and unfolds into gentle prompts and poetry starters that guide you back to your own voice. There are no milestones to tick, no dates to keep up with. You can begin anywhere, return whenever you have a quiet moment and write exactly as you are.

You don't need to be a poet to start. You just need to write.

Whether you're expecting, in the thick of baby days or deep in the school years, this guide meets you where you are, helping you commit your child's childhood and your motherhood to the page: a creative outlet for you now and something for them to treasure forever.
