The Suitor Isn't Mr Darcy

Jane Austen meets hardcore logic deduction. It is witty, romantic, and steeped in high-society etiquette, assembly-room gossip, and strict social rules.

The book opens with a "Society Directory" containing 40,000 names of prospective gentlemen. The reader has received an anonymous, impassioned letter from a secret admirer. The clues needed to unmask him are hidden within a series of mysterious letters sent by this suitor throughout the season.

Example Clues:

"I am a man of substance, and my name is more than three letters long."
"Unlike the current fashions from London, my surname does not end in a vowel."
"I assure you, I am entirely unique; my first name does not appear twice in the directory."
