Life As A Farm Girl

Mary Justice, a proud Louisiana girl, wouldn't trade one minute of the beautiful mess that was her childhood. Growing up, she had no choice but to get up early since her family farm didn't believe in sleeping late. Long before the sun came up, Mary's daddy had them out feeding the animals, who didn't care if it was your birthday or if you were tired—they just wanted to be fed. At just four years old, Mary had learned how to work hard and that farm life could be both dangerous and funny at the same time.
Her childhood was filled with running wild through rice fields and pecan groves, wrecking Hurricane's motorcycle in a ditch, running out of barn fires, getting chased by "dead" possums, and yelling "here kitty kitty" at skunks, thinking they were fancy cats. But all of that is just a taste of what growing up on that farm was really like.
