Voice Of Gods & Queen Of Ashes

These prequel novellas about the early years of Alexander the Great are full of mythology, intrigue, and romance, from a New York Times–bestselling author.

Voice of the Gods:

At nineteen, Ada of Caria longs to have what her mad siblings already do: magic powers and the Snake Blood throne. Fortunately, Ada has an unusual servant at her disposal. Helen is the first True Oracle to walk the earth in more than three hundred years. While Ada is interested in Helen’s gift, Helen wants to get rid of it. She would even lie to her best friend, Myrtale, the priestess-princess of Epirus who is torn between true love and duty to her family. Meanwhile, a handsome green-eyed stranger lurks in the shadows, with more at stake than imaginable. And amid all the romance, heartbreak, and jealousy, the gods decree that Helen or Myrtale will carry the future of the world within her womb . . .

Queen of Ashes:

Queen Laila of Sharuna has a unique way of dealing with suitors who don’t spark her interest: execute them. One by one, the men compete for the royal Egyptian’s affections, and all fail. That is, until two brothers do not cower before her penetrating gaze. Although Brehan and Riel and their differing approaches to magic tempt Laila, she decides what she’s truly interested in is power. But when the brothers turn on each other, they stand to turn Laila’s kingdom to ashes, if she does not first choose where her heart truly lies . . .
