The Great Northern Quiz Book

2,500 questions celebrating everything that makes the North of England great

The Great Northern Quiz Book is the definitive quiz book for proud northerners: 2,500 questions spanning history, politics, literature, music, sport, culture … and everything in between.

Featuring ten rounds of 250 questions each, with questions graded by difficulty, and compiled by Yorkshire-based maestro Joe Varley, it works simultaneously as a pub quiz resource, a browsable compendium of northern knowledge and the perfect gift for anyone with an interest in Captain James Cook, Yorkshire Puddings or Nora Batty’s hair curlers…

The north contains multitudes — mill towns and moors, Roman forts and recording studios, pit villages and Premier League stadiums — and this book does too.
