God Without Measure: Working Papers in Christian Theology: Volume II: Virtue and Intellect

Rediscover the second volume of Webster's wide-ranging collection of essays. Originally a companion piece to The Domain of the Word, these volumes, each featuring a brand new preface, bring together a variety of Webster's thought on dogmatic and moral theology.

This second volume considers the moral and intellectual acts of God's human creatures. These essays highlight the necessity of treating questions of created life and activity in the full circle of theological science. An opening chapter sets the scene by considering the relation between Christology and moral theology. Following this is a set of reflections on ethical themes ranging from mercy, sorrow, courage, sin as well as the death and resurrection of Christ as a governing motif in Christian moral life.
This is sure to be essential reading for those wishing to understand more deeply the works of one of the world's most renowned systematic theologians.
