Queen Margot Blu-ray + UHD - Limited Edition Hardbox + Hardcover Booklet - Imprint Collection #669 4K UHD + Blu-Ray

She was the wife of a king... and the lover of a soldier. In royal family, power, seduction and deception are all related.

Sweeping historical epic Queen Margot (originally released as La Reine Margot) comes to 4K UHD and Blu-ray in a startling restoration, a box-office hit adaptation of the novel by Alexandre Dumas, directed by Patrice Chreau. She is beautiful, she is Catholic, she is the King's sister, she is Marguerite de Valois. He is Protestant, they say that he is rude, that he never shaves, that he smells of garlic and sweat. He is Henri of Navarre. They are forced to marry. It is a political move: to reconcile the French, ripped apart by the Wars of Religion. Fully restored in 4K from the original negative by Path in 2013 under the supervision of director Patrice Chreau, just before his untimely passing, this 158-minute cut represents the ultimate, complete version of the film - as Chreau wanted it to be seen. Starring Isabelle Adjani (Possession), Daniel Auteuil (Cach), Jean-Hugues Anglade (Betty Blue), and Vincent Perez (At Eternity's Gate), Queen Margot won the Jury Prize and the Best Actress Award at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival, and was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Costume Design. 2-disc 4K UHD + Blu-ray Lid Hardbox with a 44-page Hardcover Booklet, including a brand NEW essay by Michael Viers. 1500 copies only.
