A Little Thing Like Murder

It's a lesson she teaches her boyfriend, Micah, by killing the girl he's having an affair with on an otherwise uneventful Friday night. It would be a perfect crime, too, had Olivia not left a tube of eyeliner at Lila Pepper's jelly-shoe-clad feet, an accidental signature that forces her into the sights of tenacious school journalist and Lila's best friend, Gwen Summers. With a myriad of nets closing in and the forbidden, slow-burning tension between Olivia and Gwen reaching boiling point, it becomes clear that desperate lengths are needed to tie things up - even if it means more bodies must fall.

Olivia Austin is an iconic anti-heroine in the best sociopathic tradition of Grace from How to Kill Your Family. She is morally twisted, utterly ruthless, an unreliable narrator and has a wild, take-no-prisoners approach to life which is very entertaining to be along for the ride with. Funny, sharp, dark and twisted writing.
