Wonderyears

Stevie Wonder’s songs are instantly familiar, yet the closer you listen, the more there is to discover. That idea lies at the heart of WonderYears, where Jasper Blom, Sean Fasciani and Felix Schlarmann approach Wonder’s music not as something to preserve, but as material to explore, stretch and reshape. Developed over nearly ten years of live performances, familiar melodies surface and disappear as the trio moves freely between Wonder’s compositions and its own improvisation. Now captured on record for the first time, WonderYears arrives fifty years after Songs in the Key of Life, revealing just how much freedom, depth and possibility still lives inside this timeless music.
