Massimo Listri gives us an impressive photographic account of the city of Florence, a complete and unique visual narrative of a city that tells its own story through its architectural beauty In Listri's photographs, urban scenarios are enhanced by the rigor of photographic composition; perspectives, glimpses, detail shots reveal the complexity of these grand scenes, off ered to the eye in a timeless dimension. The close-up shots, accompanied by a careful study of natural light, reveal the minuteness of the decorations that characterise the Florentine palaces, unknown to passers-by. The result is an 'ideal, ' almost Renaissance-like representation of the spaces as they are conceived in their original essence, without additions or subtractions.
