It's Your Party

What if planning your own funeral was the most life-affirming thing you could do?

Margaret Chiavini has attended more than fifty funerals. After watching a friend’s sudden death leave his wife buried in logistical chaos—and then witnessing her mother-in-law’s beautifully pre-planned farewell unfold with clarity and intention—she had a wake-up call. Not about death, but about life.

It’s Your Party is a warm, practical, and surprisingly joyful guide that begins where most of us don’t want to go: the end. From planning a celebration of life to organizing passwords, assets, and everyday details, Chiavini walks you through what matters, both practically and personally.

As you move through the process, you may find yourself thinking more intentionally about your own life: what matters, what you value, and what you want it to reflect.

Along the way, you’ll learn how to:

• Plan a celebration of life that feels true to you
• Make clear decisions that ease the burden on loved ones
• Organize the details that matter most
• Reflect on how you want to be remembered—and why
• Start living with greater intention now

Don’t wait. It’s your party.
