In 1995 he joined the creative team of Britain's award-winning Royal Armouries Museum to play a significant role in spearheading its revolutionary Live Interpretation initiative. He gave thousands of live performances and lectures contextualising the Museum's collection, and acted as a historical adviser and combatant on several film and TV productions.
