Max's Exponentially Fun Folding Adventure

Join Max as she discovers the wonders of exponential growth in this exciting mathematical adventure. Through the simple act of folding a sheet of paper again and again, Max learns how numbers can grow far faster than we might expect.

Each time the paper is folded in half, its thickness doubles as the number of layers grows: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, and beyond!

You may have heard that it is nearly impossible to fold a sheet of paper more than 7 times. But what if you could keep folding it? Max discovers that the paper would quickly reach incredible heights.

How many folds would it take to reach the top of the Empire State Building? Outer space? The Moon? Beyond?

The answers might surprise you!

All of the math behind Max's adventure is explained at the end of the story.
