Prokofiev: Rare Original Solo Pno Transcriptions

Rarely heard, Sergei Prokofiev's own transcriptions for solo piano reveal a fascinating new perspective on his orchestral imagination. This collection brings together rare piano versions of symphonic and ballet works, including several world premiere recordings. Far from simple reductions, these transcriptions transform works such as the 'Classical' Symphony, Le pas d'acier or L'Enfant prodigue into dazzling and highly personal creations.
