With a remarkable voice that ranges from the growl of Howlin' Wolf to a wistful sweetness, Feral Foster has carried forward the New York City songwriting tradition, both as an artist and as the host of the long-running Roots & Ruckus concert series. His songwriting evokes the spirit of mid-century blues while reflecting the realities of life in late-stage capitalist America. New World Blues, his first album in 12 years, features songs recorded at the Brooklyn Folk Festival.
