As we await the arrival of Jesus on Christmas morning during the Advent season, we not only reflect upon our need for a Savior to bring light and salvation, but our need for a word to answer the silence of hopelessness and sin. The incarnation is the breaking in of proclamation, of a voice in the wilderness, of the Word himself who brings faith, life everlasting, and righteousness.
