According to the sleeve, this was recorded on location in Bignona. As wild as possible, this is a disc that spans oceans and styles, but still keeps a strong connection to its African roots even as it connects dots to American music. Unusual, yes, and addictive, certainly. Not your usual Senegalese album by a long shot, but well worth worth 35 minutes of anyone's time. ~ Chris Nickson
