Eight years ago, Nix Adams started posting videos on social media while she was out on bail, to show her kids that she was on the path back to them. It was after her third child, Alaska, died suddenly of a virus in 2013 that a spiral of grief and then addiction led Nix to two short stints in jail, where she hit rock bottom and then started to work her way back up.
