Bioma - Green Vinyl

BIOMA is Fabio Macagnino's new live album, recorded on March 9th at the Teatro Cilea in Reggio Calabria with his group Movimento Terra and, exceptionally, with the Orchestra of the Reggio Calabria Conservatory. His most well-known pieces are performed here in a new orchestral format: not simple arrangements, but a true transformation of the musical material. Voice, band, and orchestra enter into a continuous relationship, creating a collective sonic organism in which the songs morph while maintaining their identity. The title BIOMA is born from the graphic union of the artist's first and last name and recalls the ecological meaning of the word: an environment in which landscape, living beings, and climate coexist in the same balance. Likewise, in this live performance, music, bodies, theater space, and audience become part of the same acoustic ecosystem. The charcoal cover reinforces this vision by showing the artist's face transformed into the four symbolic animals of Calabria—wolf, goat, kestrel, and fox—depicting an identity deeply rooted in its landscape.
