Modern Rituals is Vera Blue’s most personal album to date, inspired by Celia Pavey’s realization that her artist identity and true self are one and the same. Across the record, she explores themes of identity, self-discovery, anxiety, self-sabotage, and personal growth.  Blending electronic, pop, and cinematic influences, the album captures the cycles of the human experience, encouraging listeners to embrace both light and darkness as part of an ongoing journey of self-understanding.

Created across multiple writing sessions in Australia and Los Angeles, as well as through solo writing at home, Celia draws inspiration from artists as varied as Madonna, Nine Inch Nails, Aurora and Enya.  Her remarkable vocal performance moves effortlessly across each track, navigating lush electronica, industrial dance textures, and shimmering 2000s-inspired pop with confidence and precision.
