Noctor, Noctor : A Prescription For Trouble

A Noctor is an unqualified and unregulated non-medical professional. And the NHS is increasingly reliant on them. This alarming trend of replacing qualified doctors, driven by budget cuts, privatisation and short-term policies, is putting the lives and long-term health of patients at risk. Noctor, Noctor explores how this approach, founded on shaky economic grounds, undermines safety, quality of care and the basic principles of evidence-based medicine. This is a call for a return to the original values of the NHS - an institution that must prioritise patient welfare, equality and clinical excellence. By highlighting real life consequences, policy missteps, and patient experiences, Noctor, Noctor sheds light on the hidden costs of this new healthcare model, revealing why the public should be concerned about who is delivering their care, and most importantly, what individual patients can do about it.
