Eighteen years after its initial release, the long overdue reissue of the sought-after second album by Cancer Bats is now available as a colored vinyl edition on SBÄM Records!
Cancer Bats are a Canadian band known for their high-energy blend of hardcore punk, metal, and southern rock. Formed in Toronto, Canada in 2004, their sound is characterized by aggressive riffs, powerful drums, and the distinctive vocals of frontman Liam Cormier. Alongside classic hardcore elements, they incorporate influences from sludge metal and stoner rock. This combination gives their music a heavy, gritty sonic aesthetic that works equally well in the underground scene and on larger festival stages.
Their debut album, "Birthing the Giant," was released in 2006 and quickly garnered the band international attention. Subsequent releases, such as "Hail Destroyer" (2008) and "Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones" (2010), solidified their reputation as an intense live band. These three albums will be reissued in 2026 by the Austrian label SBÄM!
