Traditionally, Welsh literature and Catalan literature have been defined as literatureswritten in WelshorCatalan while positions are shifting, the idea that there could be national resistance literature written in other languagesremainsnovel.Resistance literature is not an approachpreviously appliedto study either Welsh writing in English or Catalan writing in Spanish, andthis book argues that thewritings under consideration haveproducedvarying degrees of'resistance literature'.
