The monograph New Home offers a focused insight into the recent practice of Yesim Akdeniz. Published on the occasion of her comprehensive exhibition at Galerie der Stadt Backnang, it brings together a foreword by Martin Schick, a text by Ela Atakan and a two-part interview with the artist conducted by Yekhan Pinarligil. Text in English and German. AUTHOR: Yesim Akdeniz (1978, Turkey) studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (1998 2002) and at De Ateliers in Amsterdam (2002 2004). In 2005 she received the Bonner Kunstverein Peter Mertes Stipendium. Her work has been shown at institutions such as Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Kunstverein Frankfurt, MAK Museum Vienna, Sammlung Philara Düsseldorf, Kunstverein Bielefeld, and Kunsthal Mechelen.
