This 5 DVD box set represents some of the earliest televised concerts with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and three of their eminent music directors; Charles Munch, Erich Leinsdorf and William Steinberg. This valuable footage has been restored using state-of-the-art techniques and is of exceptional musical interest. Leinsdorf's performances of Beethoven and Tchaikovsky have been described by Gramophone as a 'rare treat' whilst BBC Music Magazine welcomed the documenting of Munch's work with 'his' orchestra.
