Japan's former lead vocalist David Sylvian and French composer/pianist Melaine Dalibert have collaborated on a new work for the French Ici d'ailleurs label's "Mind Travel" series. This work is a condensed and reinterpreted version of "Musique pour le lever du jour" completed by Dalibert in 2017, an ambient work with delicate electronic sounds and rich resonances. Dalibert, who teaches at the Conservatoire de Rennes, has garnered attention for his theoretical approach and poetic sensibility, while Sylvian has established a strong reputation in ambient/experimental music through his work in Japan and as a solo artist. This album is a crystallization of intergenerational exchange and creativity, with Sylvian's electronic sounds providing a quiet and profound expanse. The sound world, reminiscent of a natural landscape, gently transports the listener to another time.
