During the first week in August 1963, the Beatles were touring in Lancashire, so they fulfilled their obligation to record the tracks for episodes 11 and 12 of Pop Go The Beatles at the BBC’s Playhouse Theatre in Hulme, South Manchester on August 1st. From Me To You, I'll Get You and Money were broadcast as part of show #12. Also recorded on August 1st was a rousing version of Twist & Shout that was broadcast on show #11. George solos blues-style on the custom-ary, instrumental version of Pop Goes The Weasel that started and finished each show.
