The 11th season of The Brokenwood Mysteries finds Detectives Mike Sheperd (Neill Rea), Kristin Sims (Fern Sutherland) and Daniel Chalmers (Jarod Rawiri) still battling the escalating murder rate in Brokenwood. With the help of their eccentric pathologist, Dr Gina Kadinsky (Cristina Ionda), they use all manner of less than conventional methods to solve the towns more macabre and unusual crimes. From an 80s rock star with a dead groupie on his conscience, to an explosive school quiz night, a fatal sance, a killer chandelier and a science teacher trussed up on a flying fox, this season's homicides continue to capture the quirky essence of New Zealand's deadliest town. Even Santa Claus makes an appearance as the Oades family re-emerges with a lethal case of stolen identity.
