From the dark depths of the sea to the dazzling heights of outer space, this Tales of Adventure set travels to every corner of the globe and beyond! With six films adapted from and inspired by the timeless works of Jules Verne, classic sci-fi doesn't get any better than this:
20,000 Leagues Under The Sea (1916) - The domineering Captain Nemo rescues the passengers of an American naval vessel after ramming them with his iron-clad, steampunk submarine, The Nautilus.
Master of The World (1961) - In 1848, a fanatical inventor seeks to fly around the world and stop war from his flying airship, the Albatross - a cross between a zeppelin and a helicopter.
Valley of the Dragons (1961) - Upon realizing that a comet inhabited by prehistoric beasts and humans has swept them away from Earth, Captain Hector Servadac and adventurer Michael Denning set aside their intense dislike for each other to team up in a desperate fight for their survival.
War-Gods of the Deep (aka The City Under the Sea) (1965) - An air of mystery surrounds a remote fishing village on the Cornish coast when inhabitants disappear and the sea turns blood red. A young American investigating these phenomena catches sight of a strange sea creature, part human, part fish. A trail of slime and seaweed leads to a hidden passage which runs to an undersea cavern and the lost city of Lyonesse.
Jules Verne's Rocket to the Moon (1967) - When his circus burns down, Phineas T. Barnum decides to send the reluctant General Tom Thumb on a rocket to the moon. This attracts the attention of spies around the world, but there is just one flaw with the spaceship: there is no way for it to make a return trip from the moon.
The Light at the Edge of the World (Luz del fin del mundo) (1971) - In 1865, pirates try to capture a new lighthouse on Cape Horn. They kill two keepers, but the third escapes and carries on the battle against the pirate chief.
