Out And About

Children who ride their bikes to school walk to the shops by themselves or take the bus to visit a friend’s home need to be aware of a few basic safety rules. Taking care of their own safety is a part of growing up and keeping safe involves using common sense and being aware of what is happening around them. Whether they are at the beach the shops the park or on public transport this book will help children learn to be self-reliant and confident when they are away from home.

This series provides children with strategies for responding to situations in which they feel unsafe worried or upset. Recognising when someone else needs a helping hand and knowing what to do in an emergency are vital skills that children can learn as they grow into citizens of the future.
