7A Records is proud to present the first ever vinyl reissue of Mungo Jerry’s Snakebite album. Snakebite Revisited is pressed on 180g Blue Vinyl. It has been remastered and expanded with three bonus tracks and features a 12” colour insert with lyrics and extensive liner notes, including Ray Dorset’s own recollections. Snakebite first appeared in 1990 in the U.K. on the BBC Prestige Records label. The album received much critical acclaim upon its release and quickly became a fan favourite. Ray Dorset credits Snakebite’s varied feel for the album’s endurance. “I think Snakebite still sounds fresh because it’s not like any one style of music won out all the way through. I always try to integrate a certain level of spontaneity and dynamics in the recording studio. It’s got that live feel, and the lyrics have good stories and are interesting. I think you could go back and listen to it and say, ‘That sounds like it was recorded a couple of weeks ago.’ They’re good songs. I could play them onstage now, and 30-odd years later, they would still sound as fresh as ever.”
