Twelve-year-old Magda was born on Azuki, a tiny moon with incredible plant life. Her gift for inventing unique and delicious dishes earns her a spot in the famous intergalactic cooking competition where children compete against each other on behalf of their home worlds. The stakes are high: the winner gets the Nectar, a coveted world-healing substance. But during the tournament, Magda discovers that the leaders of certain planets are conspiring to rig the competition so they can use the Nectar to extend their power throughout the galaxy.
