This 48-track 2-CD collection comprises selected A and B sides of her releases on the Columbia, Melotone, Brunswick, Decca and ARA labels from these years. It features all her career hits, including the No. 6 “Harbour Lights”, plus “I’m In The Mood For Love”, “I Feel A Song Comimg On”, “Easy To Love”, “Was It Rain”, “So Many Memories” and “Falling In Love With Love”. It features duets with Bing Crosby and Rudy Vallee, and performances accompanied by the orchestras of Jimmy Dorsey, Victor Young, Harry Sosnik, Phil Ohman and Earle Hagen. She was a singer very much of her era, her repertoire drawn from Broadway and Hollywood, including movies in which she appeared, as well as the hot material coming from Tin Pan Alley, and this is an enjoyable showcase for her talents as an entertainer.
