In Korean Folk Songs, music teacher Robert Choi shares 14 of Korea's bestlovedclassic favorites-with musical scores and lyrics in both Korean andEnglish. Included in this collection are well-knownchildren's songs such as "Splashing Around" and "Mountain Rabbit" thatincorporate fun-to-do actions and gestures. Also traditional standards thathave been passed down from generation to generation, such as "Blue Birds"and "Arirang." Each song has a double-page spread containing Choi's arrangement of themusical score, the lyrics in Korean script and romanized form, with anEnglish version of the lyrics. Historical and cultural notes are included and forthe children's songs, Choi describes the accompanying actions. An audio CDcontains recordings of all the songs, along with tracks that allow you to singalong by yourself. Every spread has beautiful full-color illustrations oftraditional Korean scenes by the talented artist Sam Ee Back.
