The eighth release from Fukuoka label ''Special 10 Records'' marks the analog debut of Jiguzaguzu's streaming single. The band formed around CHOYO-who is not only a multi-instrumentalist but also an arranger and producer for various musicians-and the uniquely expressive vocalist Takeda Shuun brings a fresh perspective to the neo-folk scene. On SIDE A you'll find ''Sayonara Erika'' a straightforward classic with a 70s folk approach. Meanwhile SIDE B features ''Two Birds'' a Japanese bossa track that shines with its soft samba break in the middle section. What ties these two songs together is the sophisticated sound that maintains a sense of Japanese pop while incorporating subtle musical tricks that reveal an exceptional level of songwriting. Amazingly all the members were born after the year 2000. The sheer level of craftsmanship in their music and performance is nothing short of astonishing.
