Beauty Sleep

Tanya Donelly returns with her new album 'Beauty Sleep', featuring eleven brand new self- penned songs (including 'The Storm' from the recent 'Sleepwalk' EP). The long-awaited follow-up to her 1997 solo debut 'Lovesongs For Underdogs', this is her first album since becoming a mother for the first time in 1999. An album of stillness, depth and melodic certainty, songs such as 'Wrap Around Skirt' and the spectral 'Life Is But A Dream' show an increasing maturityin Tanya's songwriting and showcase her remarkable vocal talent. The album also boasts an impressive cast of guest musicians, including Tanya's longtime friend and collaborator David Narcizo (ex-Throwing Muses, Lakuna), Bill Janovitz (Buffalo Tom), Dean Fisher (Juliana Hatfield 3), Rich Gilbert (Frank Black and The Catholics), and the late Mark Sandman (Morphine). The album was produced by Tanya, Matthew Ellard and Dean Fisher and recorded at Fort Apache Studios, Cambridge, AM.
