Additionally she has trained in several psychotherapeutic methods. She has worked as a psychological counselor and consultant for youth departments for almost thirty years. Birgitta Heiskel was born in Frankfurt / Main. She studied at the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig and has been working as a freelance illustrator mainly for book and magazine publishers in Vienna since 1990.
