It was released on 10 February 1984 and peaked at No. 14 on the UK Albums Chart. The first single from the album was Hyperactive!, which peaked at No. 17 in the UK Singles Chart. The album charted at No. 35 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album has held up very well 40 years after it's release; a crisp production, brilliant songwriting by Thomas Dolby, and a fantastic ensemble of supporting players make this record a classic in it's own kind.
