One of the most celebrated guitarists in the history of recorded music, Grady Martin was regarded by his fellow Nashville A Teamers as the finest session picker of all. Immeasurably versatile and influential, he was active from the late 40s until the 1980s. Martin's most memorable/celebrated Rockabilly playing was with The Johnny Burnette Rock & Roll Trio, whose records, were the touchstone for subsequent generations of R&R and Rock axemen. This compilation presents a snapshot of Grady's session work between 1952 and 1962, and also includes one of his own solo recordings. It includes hits even a few million-sellers but features predominantly flips, flops, album tracks, and a sprinkling of collectors' rarities.
