Standing on Sacred Ground

Kathy Marshall wakes up each day and thanks the sun and blesses the water. In April of 2013, she set the intent of recording songs that she wrote during the past 5 years. These songs were inspired by everything sacred: the elements, the dream world, the land, the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, her many teachers in life, wild life and animals, the rain and Love. Yes Love, the greatest teacher and inspiration. These songs were gifts and Kathy feels a deep responsibility to share them, to be the messenger of song. To that end, her dear friend Mara Berendt Friedman, painted the art for the CD cover. She captured the feeling of listening to the wisdom of the cosmos and then pouring that out in song to the world. Kathy lives at Stillpoint, a spiritual gathering place in Veneta, Oregon, located on an organic farm with her partner Gina Thomas. She is so grateful to be living and breathing here, right here, right now, standing on sacred ground and listening to the gifts that are present in each moment.
