An extremely talented vocalist, Mickey Ruption's first exposure to the music industry began with "Jump In The Pool," a critically acclaimed single featuring Mickey in a duet with the Jamaican toaster Busta Livingstone, who happens to be Mickey's cousin. The session was intended a be a one-off, but the producers of the single were so impressed by Mickey that they urged him to record more, and were surprised to learn that Mickey had been stockpiling demos since he was a teenager, with surely enough tunes to make an album, or two. The resulting "Life Is A Carnival," collects 15 of Mickey's compositions, finally brought to life in a professional studio.
