This is possibly the most comprehensive overview of the early career of Jimmy Nolen, one of the most influential guitarists of the 20th Century. Today Nolen's fame rests almost entirely on the innovative work he did as lead guitarist for the James Brown Orchestra between 1965 and his death in 1983. The music magazine 'Mojo' rated Jimmy Nolen No 12 in it's survey of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" some years ago.
